This Similan Island dive site, like Shark Fin Reef, has a great mixture of both large sections of coral reef and large boulders making for a very interesting dive. The maximum depth goes down to about 35 meters whilst the reef can be as shallow as around 7 meters. The currents are mild and so the dive is suitable for most divers.
In the shallower sections of the dive, divers will find more coral growth with sea whips, sea fans, and other soft corals attached to the boulders. These are accompanied by sea cucumbers, sea stars, and urchins. The sloping reef also has many fire corals, lettuce corals, and brain corals.
The reef has many different reef fish including puffer fish, trumpet fish, lionfish, Moorish idols, banner fish, and sweetlips. As it is close to Snapper Alley, divers can spot different species of snapper including blue lined snapper, and Checkered snapper. There are also butterfly fish, surgeonfish, fusiliers, wrasse, and many different types of parrotfish. The dive site also is home to many garden eels on the sandy bottom and reef sharks and blue spotted stingrays can also be spotted there.
