This island is home to two amazing dive sites, which are known as Sabolon Besar and Sabolon Kecil. In the local Bahasa language, Besar means big whilst Kecil means small. The island is a very popular spot for camping and so divers are often joined by many snorkelers. Both dive sites are also very popular for divers to begin their diving in the Komodo region as they are nice and easy and introduce divers to the types of dives to expect from the area. Both sites have excellent visibility often averaging around 25 metres.

The first dive site, Sabolon Kecil, is a slope dive site that leads towards two underwater mounds. These mounds are quite deep with a minimum depth of 22 metres and they go down to the sandy bottom at around 30 metres. The sandy bottom has a large colony of garden eels and divers should explore the sand to find other smaller creatures. The sea mounds are covered in large sea fans, soft corals, and other stunning corals. Divers can explore these to find many frogfish, orangutan crabs, pygmy seahorses, and devil scorpion fish. The sea mounds also have many schools of batfish that are very diver friendly.

The second dive site, Sabolon Besar, is a steep sloe that has larger patches of coral. Divers can also explore these corals and it is very common to spot scorpion leaf fish here. This dive site is often used as refresher dives or for macro practice dives.
