Starting at around 8m with a huge soft coral area, beginner divers get the chance to see why the Gilis are known as the ‘Turtle Capital of the World’ with an abundance of both green and hawksbill turtles. The reef continues down to 18m where all sorts of life such as moray eels, lobsters and cuttlefish can be spotted. Following the ridges all the way down to 30m, advanced get to experience a unique part of the dive site know as ‘Jack Point’ where a huge resident school of Jacks are known to stay circling overhead, as well as having a good chance of seeing black and white-tip reef sharks and numerous blue-spotted stingrays. Often done as a drift dive, Shark Point can offer divers of all levels something to see.
