THE HID VIDEO LIGHT
We tested this lighting system with our Sony PC100 Digital Camera in a Gates Housing and were extremely pleased with the results. Nite RIder specializes in lighting system for Gates housings.
The HID Video Light is a twin 10 watt, 13.2-volt video lighting system equivalent to 80 watts of conventional light but with 6000 degree color temperature that is closest to sunlight. The glass diffuser lens and custom 60° reflector provides soft, well-balanced lighting.
The twin single beams are perfect for shooting wide angle and macro and the 1.9 hour run time provides plenty of time to get all the video you want in a day.
The light features twin 10 watt HID Single Beams (40watt equivalent each) and includes a Y-Wet connector and 2 video arms to provide versatile lighting positions. Burn times is 1.9 hours with both heads. It comes with and underwater wet connectors that connect the light head to the battery underwater for the use of multiple batteries. It has an industrial grade rechargeable 13.2 volt 4.0Ah memory-free NiMH battery.
The whole thing weighs 2.3 lbs (1/2lb negative in water) and is width 4.5in. x height 6in. x thick 1.6in. A heavy-duty belt clip is included for mounting on a camera housing, tank strap or cummerbund. It also comes with a convenient, hard transport case and a Microbrute 5 hour International SmartCharger that is certified to 300 ffw.
