This island is the outer island of the two islands of Chalong Bay and has a lovely reef dive site. It is another Phuket site that is great for learning how to dive but all level of divers will have a great dive, with nice calm currents and with a good variety of marine life.
The dive site most accessible is on the south part of the island. This also is away from the other beach users. There is some jet skiing on the island so by diving on the south part of the island, divers are safer and there is less disturbance to the water visibility and the marine life. Many day-trippers come to this island so the other parts of the beach can also be very busy with many snorkelers and swimmers.
The south part of the island also has the best coral in the best condition and with the most varieties. There are staghorn corals, star corals, and some foliaceous corals. These provide a great home to the many reef fish here including lionfish, anemone fish, angelfish, and damsels. Divers can expect to see some larger fish such as fusiliers, snapper, and maybe even a turtle.
