The Girandella Wall diving spot is located at the coast of Rabac, directly in front of the Girandella Dive Center. I know this spot from many years of guiding there.
Starting from the shore it takes you around 2 minutes of diving to reach the top of the Wall in a depth of 10m.
The wall is going down to 44m at its deepest point and has a total length of 1,3km, guaranteeing several dives at the same spot without seeing everything twice.
This makes it a perfect place to learn diving.
As I am also a marine biologist, I am always fascinated by the variety of wildlife that can be found at this spot.
I counted over 15 nudibranch species and around 40 different fish species, from seahorse to conger.
In spring big shiff arms jellyfishes and lobsters can be found.
Also, this is one of the very few places in the Mediterranean where yellow sea fans can still be found at high density.
