Reaching the dive site was a bit hard, as I needed to jump in the open sea and hold a mooring line while descending. There is usually a strong current, because of the reef’s unprotected location. I had to descend below 20 meters to see if my effort was worth it. And it was.
Golden Reef is only a few rocks completely covered by the water. They may be invisible on the descent, but when I got deep enough I noticed, that they are covered all over with white, pink and yellow soft corals.
With some hard corals and swim-throughs all looks like magic gardens full of colours. Every wall looks like a flowery carpet.
Last time I was there I saw nudibranchs and bluespotted ribbontail ray and looking up I met a cherry of the dive: school of barracudas.
The visibility was good and the colorful rocks seemed like an underwater garden amidst blue sea.
