Halik reef is located on the north tip of Gili Trawangan and is perfect for both beginners and more experienced divers. The shallow part of this site begins at around 4m with a small wall going down to 12m consisting of a very colourful hard coral reef where big schools of drummers and rainbow runners can be seen passing by as well as a variety of other reef life. Further along the dive site the reef changes to soft coral which is home to many turtles and a perfect place to spend the safety stop watching them forage for food. The deeper part of Halik continues into beautiful coral ridges down to 30m+, providing the more experienced divers with an opportunity to see some bigger fish life such as sharks, trevallies and the occasional big ray, whilst still being able to extend the dive time by moving up into the shallows.
