Deep in the Ionian Sea between the Greek islands of Kefalonia and Zakynthos lies the wreck of the HMS Perseus Submarine from World War II.

This dive offers a chance to explore an incredible piece of history with a fascinating story behind it.

The top of the conning tower is at 42 metres, with the bottom being 50 metres deep.

Penetration of this wreck is not possible, although the escape hatch is open so I got a glimpse of the interior.

As this dive is usually done as a technical dive, bottom time is limited to around 20 minutes but this allowed me sufficient time to circle around all 80 metres of the submarine.
