This fantastic dive is the site of a huge sprawling offshore sunken reef lying between 8 and 40m deep, with several coral plateaus around it, and a massive rock pinnacle rising to about 8m below the surface. As it is quite an isolated spot located in the middle of Tioman Island and Coral Island, the reefs here are in pristine condition. The currents however can be unpredictable and fairly strong so it’s recommended only for experienced divers and the best time to dive here is from April to October
This is a great fishing spot as the marine life here is abundant, you’ll see giant moray eels hiding amongst the wreck, huge schools of barracudas, jacks, trevallies, blue spotted sting rays, scorpionfish, yellow reef fish, parrotfish, wrasse, rainbow runners and pretty butterflyfish, as well as a variety of small reef fish, green sea turtles and numerous micro creatures like nudibranchs, clouds of anthias and clownfish. It is also the best site to see blacktip reef sharks and whale sharks.
The coral formations here are amazing to see, the plateaus here have some of the biggest gorgonian sea fans ever seen in the Tioman’s, coral bommies abound with hidden macro creatures, and you’ll see hard cabbage coral as well as gold coral boulders covered in green moss like Xmas trees scattered everywhere.
