This is another fantastic dive site in Thailand. Located in Phuket, the average depth of this site is around 18 meters with excellent visibility of up to 30 meters. The maximum depth is 36 meters where there can be sightings of larger pelagic fish. The topography of this site is quite unusual as it contains many very large boulders. These make it easy to spot Manta Rays, Whale sharks, and means that divers from around the world come here in search of these large fish.
The currents here can be quite strong, but when the average dive is around 20 meters these tend to be relatively moderate. These currents enabled divers to fly through the dive site, swimming through many gaps, valleys, and swim-throughs of the site. There is some reef cover and so expect to see the usual suspects, such as fusiliers, groupers, glass fish, snappers, and more eels. There will also be sweet lips, lionfish, angelfish, and other common reef fish.
Larger pelagic fish are common and include Jack fish, barracuda, and manta rays. Sharks and turtles also pop up occasionally; reef sharks are more common, but leopard sharks often are spotted. The rock formations are surrounded by blue water and stingrays swim around.
