Located on the southern coast of the Grand Bahamas, Shark Junction boasts a large number of Caribbean reef sharks, in particular, its famous grey reef sharks that inhabit the area.

I was surprised by the effects of the shark immobility technique which is the main feature of this dive. The expert shark instructor calmly relaxes the sharks by touching the Ampulle of Lorenzini near the nostrils or around the head of the shark causing a sort of hypnosis.

Another incredible feature of this dive site is the crowds of giant groupers that live there. Their huge black and dark brown bodies are remarkable; I was lucky enough to be able to swim extremely close to them, an unforgettable experience!
