The Sembilan Islands are located 25 km off Pulau Pangkor’s coast (“Sembilan” means “9 islands” and the term have been derived from “Similan”, the famous islands located in Thailand). Although the visibility isn’t great at 3m to 9 m, this place does consist of a very rich marine life that will keep the divers busy. The coral is this island is in fine condition and it goes up to 40 meters deep in some places. The fish life is varied and consists of seahorses, barracuda’s, pufferfish, parrotfish and scopiofish. The islands include White Rock, Pulau Buluh, Pulau Saga, Black Rock, Pulau Lalang, Pulau Nipis, Pulau Payong, Pulau Rumbia, and Pulau Agas.  White Rock island is a famous site with a lighthouse and quite steep walls with depths of 40 meters. Channels between these islands provide good coral and large shoals of fish.
