Situated between Tioman and Redang, Tenggol is a tiny island which is located 20 kilometers off the east coast. Wall diving is a major attraction here, as there are a lot of rocky cliffs on the eastern side of the island, which is on the opposite direction of South China Sea. The island is also dotted with perfect coral formations and submerged rocks, where the walls have a depth of 48 meters. Bumphead parrotfish, lizardfish, jacks and whitetip sharks are some of the varied fish life which divers can encounter here.
“Amazing Grace”, “The Highway” and “The Fishbowl” are some of the renowned diving sites. “The Highway” diving site derives its name from the strong currents which divers can experience here. Impressive Coral gardens can be found in Teluk Air Tawar located on Tenggol’s west coast.
