The M/V Discovery Adventure recently underwent a huge refurbishment and redesign in 2016, and is now fully operational to take divers on the adventure of a lifetime in the Phillippines. Although smaller than its sister vessel the Discovery Palawan, this 47m vessel impresses guests time and time again with the many wonders it takes them to in Tubbataha National Park and Palau.   Divers are guaranteed to see some amazing coral life in Tubbataha, and the area is also well-known for its presence of large pelagics such as manta rays and sharks. When diving in Palau, divers are met with unparalleled underwater bio-diversity and fantastic wall diving opportunities.

The M/V Discovery Adventure caters to a total of 28 divers across the 14 cabins. All cabins are equipped with air-conditioning and feature en-suite facilities. When looking to relax, guests can choose from a number of communal spaces including a large sun deck, an outdoor dining area or the indoor air-conditioned saloon. The saloon’s adjacent camera room is perfect for underwater photographers to review their footage, set up their equipment or share their memorable experiences with others.

The Discovery Adventure welcomes a total of 28 guests on each trip and it has 14 modern cabins as its sleeping arrangements. The cabins are centrally air-conditioned and have en-suite bathroom facilities as well as cupboard storage space. There are 6 cabins located on the upper deck with a further 8 cabins on the lower deck.

6 Upper Deck Cabins

Each of the upper deck cabins has two single beds suitable for twin occupancy.

8 Lower Deck Cabins

Each of the lower deck cabins also has two single beds.

I have been a diver for over 3 decades, and was highly impressed with every aspect of my trip aboard the Discovery Adventure.

The refurbishment went a long way to improve the boat as a whole, and the crew were fantastic every step of the way. I really enjoyed the wall dives as there wasn’t too much current and there was plenty to see.

I would happily recommend this liveaboard trip to others looking to explore the pristine dive sites around Tubbataha National Park and Palau.
