An underwater paradise awaits in the Indian Ocean, and the luxurious Lucy Liveaboard is the perfect vessel to explore everything on offer. Taking up to 22 guests on 5 night trips into the beautiful area of Djibouti since 2015, the M/Y Lucy is 37m of pure comfort and luxury. Both snorkelers and divers will enjoy the itinerary which includes the pristine sites of Goubet Al Kharab, Seven Brothers and the Gulf of Tadjourah. On-board guests are in for a real treat, as Djibouti boasts year-round sightings of manta rays, dolphins, pilot whales and a host of shark species, with whale sharks commonly seen between October and February. There are more than 200 coral species to be seen and marveled at, and these underwater paradises are yet unspoiled by tourism or mass crowds.

The M/Y Lucy has a total of 12 cabins, 2 on the main deck, 8 on the lower deck and 2 comfortable single cabins. All the cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite facilities and provide guests with a mini-fridge and complimentary toiletries to make them feel right at home. The top deck has a spacious sun deck with breathtaking views, while the indoor lounge and dining space offers the latest in surround sound entertainment. The M/Y Lucy is equipped with a diving deck for equipment storage as well as individual charging stations for underwater cameras, torches, computers and other diving gadgets.

My entire experience of the Lucy Liveaboard was perfect!

The chef made healthy, tasty meals that were to die for, and the home comforts on board were ideal for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. I was very impressed at the crew and manager – this liveaboard is well organized and well-run.

As a diving location, Djibouti is extremely under-rated and as such offers great, near-private diving and an abundance of marine life to see. I was astounded at all the colours and fish, and the fact that these sites were so unspoiled. Of course the chance to snorkel with whale sharks was an experience I’ll never forget.
