Fantastic liveaboard trips are available aboard the Sachika, a 33 metre vessel ideal for a Maldivian scuba diving adventure. The Sachika can host up to 22 guests, all of whom are well looked after by a dedicated crew of dive instructors, marine biologists and cruise directors.
The Sachika boasts 10 comfortable air-conditioned cabins, each with en-suite facilities, a mini bar and plenty of room to relax. The vessel has ample space for relaxation with two lounges, a massage room and a large sundeck complete with a Jacuzzi and outdoor shower. The indoor lounge is air-conditioned for added comfort and features a top-notch entertainment system as well as a 40 inch TV. There is also a lounge/bar area that boasts phenomenal views of the beautiful surroundings. The Sachika has an on-board restaurant where delicious buffet meals can be dished up. This space is also air-conditioned and features a coffee corner for socializing over a nice cup of coffee or tea. There’s no better way to relax after a long day of diving than a body massage to ease aching or tired muscles. Luckily for guests aboard the Sachika, the liveaboard boasts its own professional massage therapist who operates from the private massage room which is also air-conditioned.
The Sachika has a 19 metre diving dhoni at its disposal which makes kitting up, storing equipment and disembarking much easier. Diving in the Maldives is near guaranteed to be an amazing experience, especially when you consider the large pelagic species that are commonly sighted. These include such graceful giants as manta rays, whale sharks as well as intimidating-looking hammerheads. For those qualified to dive on Nitrox, this is also available on the dhoni.
Diving is conducted from the 19m dive dhoni which will house your equipment for the duration of your trip. 3 x COLTRI compressors are on hand to fill your tanks between dives, while you relax on the mothership.
The dhoni is equipped with 23 x 13 lt. aluminium tanks with international and DIN valves. 3 x 15 lt. steel tanks are available to rent, as is additional dive gear.
Medical supplies and 2 x 46 lt. oxygen tanka are also kept on the dhoni.
PADI diving courses are also available.
The main deck comprises an indoor dining area with coffee bar. Evening meals are served here although you might prefer to eat outside in the part shaded outdoor area.
The dining area is equipped with a large screen plasma TV and CD/DVD player. There is a small library of movies for guests to enjoy. You will also find marine life books, novels and board games for your pleasure.
The top deck is the sun deck which has plenty of comfortable sun beds as well as a 5 person jacuzzi/hot tub and fresh water shower. There is also a hi-fi system on deck.
