Stingray is a Maldives liveaboard diving vessel that accommodates up to 18 divers in 9 spacious cabins. You can choose from a 7-night or 14-night trip.

You will enjoy up to 3 dives per day, led by your divemaster, and also a night dive each week, giving you a total of 17 dives for a 7-night trip or 35 dives for a 14-night trip.

Dive Facilities

Diving is conducted from the dhoni dive tender which is where you’ll set up all your dive gear on your arrival. There’s an onboard compressor to re-fill your tank after each dive while you relax on the mothership.

During a typical dive you are likely to encounter regular reef dwellers of the Indian Ocean such as batfish, moray eels, etc as well as some more infrequent sightings of rays, white tip sharks, whalesharks, turtles, napolean wrasse. The occasional glance out into the blue often brings a few surprises too.

General Facilities

On the upper deck you will find the wheelhouse where the Captain spends most of his time. He is forever eager to answer your questions and share his impeccable knowledge of the atolls, and his beautiful country, to you. This deck also features a large shaded open sun deck area where you can relax between dives or spend the evening gazing into the starry night sky.

The main deck features the saloon, bar and kitchen areas.

The lower deck is reserved for cabin accommodation.

Internet access is available via 3G dongle, chargeable at $20USD per week, so you can email family and friends to update them on your fantastic dive experiences. The connection largely depends on the location of the boat.

As a guest on board MV Stingray you will also enjoy island visits and a beach barbecue on at least one evening of your trip. This is a perfect opportunity for you to get some photo’s with the cool blue ocean as a backdrop to the beach setting. A visit to Male, the provincial capital, where you will enjoy a combination of sightseeing and shopping is offered on the final evening of each trip.

Between dives you can relax in many of the communal spaces on this 3 deck Maldives liveaboard.
