The Great Nembrotha (Nembrotha megalocera) nudibranch is a very colourful species that belongs to the family Polyceridae. This species is only known to occur in the warm tropical waters of the Red Sea off eastern Africa. This species looks very similar to some western Pacific Nembrotha nudibranchs including the Red Gilled Nembrotha (Nembrotha rutilans and the Lined Nembrotha (Nembrotha lineolata. It is believed that this species feeds on ascidians which is standard in most Nembrotha species.

The Great Nembrotha (Nembrotha megalocera) is known to grow to at least 8cm in length.
