The nudibranch Platydoris cf galbana is a temperate water nudibranch species that is known to occur in the waters of southern Australia. It has been recorded in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. The species illustrated in the photo appears to be a colour variation of Platydoris galbana and it is not known if it is a new separate species. The standard colouration of Platydoris galbana is yellow however this species is unique in having red/brown colouration. This species was recorded at a depth of 5 metres and was found on night dive in amongst marine vegetation.
The nudibranch Platydoris cf galbana grows to at least 5cm in length.
