The Smooth Flutemouth (Fistularia commersonii) is a tropical fish species that belongs to the Flutemouthfishes family Fistulariidae. This species can be found in the waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans and is distributed from the Red Sea to Baja, in the Galapagos Islands, northern New Zealand, Rapa Island in French Polynesia and Easter Island. This species is generally found in shallow waters of coral reefs and can be found solitary or in small schools. This species can be recognised by its long elongate body which is a pale blue silver colour and may have a thin blue lateral stripe running from its head to the base of the tail. The Smooth Flutemouth (Fistularia commersonii) grows to a maximum length of approximately 1.5 metres.
