Bunaken Cha Cha Resort is located on the eastern side of Bunaken Island. It is a small diving resort which can accommodate more than 20 people.
The resort is a divers’ paradise. It is constructed into a hillside so that the view from the place is astounding, allowing one to see up to parts of Manado Island and Siladen Island. The natural flora and fauna is active there in such fullness that one can easily spot dolphins on the sea surface. The majestic pilot whales, in front of which human beings appear so puny, are also a common sight here. The tropical forests around the resort have been left intact, and extending from the resort is a small beach. The excellent dive site of Bunaken Timor is only 30m away from the edge of the water.
There are a total of 10 cottages – 7 larger and 3 smaller – with the provision to accommodate two persons in each. One main attraction of the resort is the availability of hot water showers. All the rooms typically front onto the lovely Sulawesi Sea.
The Diving Club allows the guests to dive around all the five islands making up the Bunaken National Marine Park. In addition to it, they conduct training classes for those who are not familiar with diving.
The park being one of the finest snorkeling destinations, lots of tourists come here for snorkeling as well. The coral reefs around Bunaken Island are an ideal place for snorkeling. Bunaken Cha Cha Resort provides a snorkeling pontoon in front of their private beach for comfortable snorkeling. Those who want wider choices can go further out in one of their dive boats.
