Atlantis Liveaboards is Phuket’s most progressive Dive Company. It’s owners have many years experience in the diving business. All of our owners are dedicated to maintaining the very highest standards of service and safety during your stay with us. Atlantis Liveaboards have started the work to become ISO 9001 certified, this means for you as a customer and gust onboard our boats will get the highest degree of service. On all boats are we having a Boat manual this manuals are a result of many years experience and merged together with a operational manual for big cruise liners.

Atlantis Liveaboards is one of the most well reputed live-aboard companies in Thailand. We’ve always catered to a variety of customers and fellow divers that have different wishes, preferences and experience.

Our prime focus is, of course, to offer world class diving in a setting that creates long lasting memories of an excellent vacation. We also know that a memorable live-aboard experience combines three key points:

Our trips go primarily to the world famous Similan Islands, rated amongst the Top 10 diving areas in the world. Occasionally we also tour Surin Islands. Our staff of instructors or divemasters are very well trained, experienced and professional. To enhance both the fun side as well as the safety, we always dive in small groups.

Instead of ‘take-it-or-leave-it’-buffets, we offer, as the only live-aboard company in our region, a forty-dish menu, consisting of Thai-food delicacies alongside western food, prepared by our top chefs onboard.

We’ve always believed strongly in ‘comfort above the water’. The possibility to comfortably interact and socialize with new found friends, sleeping in the sun or in a cozy cabin, listen to music or playing games all important things for a successful and memorable holiday!

On all our boats we also offer PADI Courses beyond entry level training, such as Advanced Open Water courses, Rescue courses, Divemaster courses and various Specialty courses.

Atlantis Liveaboards is a European managed operation that strives to cater efficiently to customers and fellow divers from all over the world and we have a substantial track record to prove we are the live-aboard company to go for in Thailand!

Just 92 kilometers northwest of the bustling crowds of Patong Beach lies a group of small and densely wooded islands in the crystal waters of the Andaman Sea. The Similan Islands have gorgeous beaches with fine talcum powder-like sand.

The Similans are orientated north to south and with the exception of island number five each has its own name. They are commonly identified however by numbers ascending in northerly direction.

The name “Similan” is derived from the Malay word sembilan, which means “nine”, referring to the number of the islands. The best time to visit the area is between early November and the end of April.

The Phi Phi Islands, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.

Superb diving, and spectacular scenery are combined in one trip in the Phi Phi Islands in the Hat Noppamart Thara National Park.

Awesome 300 metre limestone walls tower over the water into the blue sky. Underwater, these cliffs are covered in soft corals, large fans and teeming fish. The wall dives go down to 25 metres, and if you look in the crevices, you find a treasure trove of marine creatures a harlequin shrimp here, a sea horse there. This is also a good place to see sharks. The white-tips and black-tips are quite shy, but you may be able to swim right up to a sleeping, harmless (they’re crustacean eaters), leopard shark. No touching, please!

The same erosion that created the cliffs also created caves. For experienced divers, it may be possible to do a cave dive at Koh Haa Yai.

The crowning glory of the trip, of course, are Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, the best dive-sites in the South of Thailand. Daeng means pink, and Muang means purple in Thai, and the names derive from the pinkish-red soft corals that cover both rocks. Here, you can dive spectacular drop-offs that go down to 50m, but the greatest draw are the sharks, whalesharks and other large pelagians that frequent here.

The Rhapsody is a 25 meter long and 5,5 meter wide wooden motor yacht, built for comfort, safety and stability. She cruises at 11 knots, is diesel powered and has 220 volt electricity onboard.

What makes Rhapsody unique is the size of her cabins and the fact that we maximise the number of guests to eight – you can imagine the superior space you’ll have on board! Rhapsody is the perfect choice for those who appreciate a boat with a warm, friendly and personal feeling!

In the stern you find the dive platform and the dive deck. Here you also find all our diving facilities, gear-storage, tanks as well as our kitchen. One level up from the dive deck, you find one of our Superior Cabins with a lower double bed and a single upper bed. (All our cabins of course have air conditioning and en suite bathrooms.) On this level you will also find the salon; our air conditioned indoor area where you can flee the hot sun for a while and maybe listen to some music. Here you also find the fridge, loaded with chilled soft drinks, sweets and ice cold beers. You may help yourself to complimentary coffee, tea, cookies and fruit. Inside the salon you will find the door to the second Superior Cabin equipped as the first. Down one level you will find two more cabins: the Deluxe Cabin, a generously large cabin with a king-size double bed and the Executive cabin, a very spacious cabin with a large king-size double bed.

Back outside again, at the back of the boat, you’ll find the stairway up to the sundeck, where you can catch some sun or perhaps make hilarious stage dives down in to the crystal clear water! Here you also find our sun roof covered open dining area, where you will enjoy your breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as always on our Atlantis liveaboards you may choose from our unique 40 dish menu relax, socialise and admire the stunning sunsets of the Andaman Sea.

In short, Rhapsody is for those who truly treasure a cosy, personal boat with peaceful ambience, good atmosphere and spacious cabins. A boat where you really will get to know new friends, enjoy the extraordinary food, and simply have a really good time. Welcome onboard!

All cabins are equipped with air condition, private toilet and shower and sea view windows. In total there are four guest cabins: The Executive Cabin a very spacious cabin with a king-size double bed, wall mirror and wardrobe. The Deluxe Cabin also with lot’s of space, wardrobe, mirror and king-size double bed. Two Superior Cabins with one double/single under bed and one single upper bed.

Comfort above the water, is the priority of the cabins on Rhapsody!

The live-aboard diving boat has four decks in total, each with a specific purpose. Guests and crew access all decks via beautifully designed spiral staircases.

The top deck is used as a sun deck and an outdoor salon, with over 175 square meters of usable space. Here the boat has guest seating for outdoor dining and relaxing or playing cards, as well as mattresses for those of you who can’t get enough of the sun or who love to gaze at up at the starry sky. The deck is big enough for a helicopter hoisting area in case of a truly serious emergency.

The upper deck is where you will find the main salon and another outdoor area for lounging. The salon, like the rest of the vessel, is all decorated using beautiful wood crafted by master carpenters. This is where the buffet meals will be served, and just outside is another bar where freshly made eggs are served up every morning to compliment the breakfast buffet. Inside you’ll find a state of the art entertainment system with theatre surround sound, CD, DVD, video and 34 inch screen television for full enjoyment of your underwater shots. The diving briefings are conducted here using the built-in white board. The plates and dishes are washed by machine using the latest German technology to keep them clean and shining and available 24 hours a day.

Just forward of the salon is the wheelhouse and owner’s cabin. The boat is equipped with the latest in modern navigation and safety electronic equipment.

The middle or main deck is where you sleep and the cabins are just steps away from the dive platform. She has a total of 10 double cabins with large bunk-bed accommodation, and two owners’ cabins. All cabins are en suite and feature panoramic windows and access to a mini balcony overlooking the sea. The bathrooms have sinks and vanity mirrors with soft, built-in down lights. The showers have hot and cold running water. Western style toilets are standard throughout. The air conditioning system is based on two large Carrier Marine versions offering you the best possible comfort in your cabin. Each cabin also has electrical outlets for laptop computers or charging batteries.

The crew and diving staff, consisting of up to 17 members, have their cabins on the lower deck. The well stocked medical room is also on the lower deck. This is also where the engine room, compressors and generators are located. Our huge galley, large enough to cater to guests and crew, electrical systems and air conditioning units are also found here. The air conditioning system is central, using one of two massive units and ducted into each area of the boat. The system is designed so that if one unit fails, the other will kick in automatically, keeping you and the crew cool at all times.

One of the first things you’ll notice when climbing aboard is the attention to detail in the design of the various rooms on the Viking. Polished wood adorns the walls and decks, and all of the built-in furniture is beautifully crafted. All counters in the bathroom, cabins, and bars are made of solid wood. The food service counters feature hand-carved designs and ornamentation. Boats using this type of construction are few and far between these days due to the high cost of the wood and lack of craftsmen, and no expense has been spared to make you feel comfortable, pleased – and dare we say proud – of your surroundings. The lighting has been deliberately planned down to the last detail to show off the wood and to be easy on your eyes. It’s all in the details.

Safety at sea is something most guests take for granted, but unfortunately it’s not always something taken seriously by the owners, particularly in Asia. Norwegians take their safety at sea earnestly, learning the importance of this from their offshore oil and gas operations, and designing most of the equipment used in this industry. The Viking features watertight doors, escape hatches and outside access from everywhere on the boat, including the cabins. All safety and emergency equipment is SOLAS approved, meeting international standards. She is equipped with more than 100 SOLAS life preservers and four life rafts also for more than 100 persons, emergency transponders and automatic satellite distress transmitters. All cabins and other rooms on the boat are fitted with smoke and fire detectors. And, there is plenty of Oxygen on board for dive emergencies if they occur. A full safety briefing is conducted on departure of every trip and each diver is issued with a “safety sausage” or inflatable signaling device in case you drift away from the dive site or the boat.

The three four-five meter rigid bottom inflatable dinghies will make getting to and from the dive sites easy and convenient. Two of these dinghies are made in Europe according to the highest safety standards, being SOLAS approved rescue dinghies.

The tanks are filled rapidly so you don’t miss out on any diving. They are filled quietly as well as the compressor is located below decks. The dive deck has been designed with comfort and convenience in mind with tank racks and plenty of suiting up area and storage for your personal equipment. Each diver will be assigned his or her own station and gear will remain set up during the entire cruise. Tanks are filled at this station, so you never have to worry about moving your equipment except to get in the water, and the caring crew will help you with that. Personal gear is stored at your station in intelligently designed boxes, and wet suits are hung up to dry on our custom rack. Cameras are stored apart from your personal gear on special camera shelves, and out of the air-conditioned areas to avoid lens fogging. There are showers for a quick rinse after the dive.

M/Y Viking of The Orient will prove to be one of the best liveaboards operating in Thailand and Southeast Asia. The owner and crew have worked hard to deliver an outstanding product. With beautiful cabins, a huge interior salon, lots of areas to soak up the sun, and engineering and safety considerations all thought out thoroughly, cruises aboard the vessel will be easy, relaxing, fun, safe, and extremely comfortable. Join the Viking for a cruise you’ll never forget.

MV Mermaid II

Come aboard our MV Mermaid II and search for the majestic whale shark! Tours to the Similan and Surin Islands or to the world-famous Richelieu Rock are available; or let us take you to the southern islands of Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and Koh Ha…

On board, you can relax in comfort while moving from one fantastic dive site to another. If you are enthusiastic about diving and want to experience the best Thailand have to offer, then liveaboards are definitely for you.

Our liveaboard fleet offers unbeatable comfort and safety, with each boat having air-conditioned cabins, an E6 photo lab, small dive groups (maximum 4 divers with each divemaster), and DAN Oxygen kits. M/V Kingfisher is a purpose built dive boat taking a maximum of 12 persons. The boat was designed allowing ample space for leisure and relaxation. The Saloon / TV room can double as a dining room on those odd occasions when the weather is not at its best. The upper deck comprises of a lounge area with a small bar, 50% of which is shaded allowing 50% for sun bathing or star gazing. There is a large dining dining area with an equally large dinning table. We feel it is important to get every body together at meal times rather than sub divide. Unequalled is the view, an unobstructed 360 degrees, making for that free open air feeling with every thing at hand. Last but not least all the guests cabins have air-conditioning.

Kingfisher Diving recently re-allocated from Bangkok to a new dive shop, which is located in the heart of Phuket at Patong Beach. The shop design by the owners although not large has become in itself a tourist attraction . The most stunning feature is the 3 meter high cylindrical fish tank ,an integral part of the shops front window . Inside there is another larger fish tank 2.5 meters in length mounted high in the ceiling. Not to be out done, as you cross the a little bridge to enter the shop you can see Terrapins on one side and Giant carp on the other. In support of marine conservation all the coral displayed in our fish tanks are simulated coral pieces they. Whether diving or not, check us out at the shop.
