Nusa Lembongan is one of the favorite places in Bali. It is a small island, which is located in the southeast of Bali. It has beautiful beaches and underwater world. Nusa Lembongan beaches are not less exotic than the others in Bali. There are also some beaches in Nusa Lembongan with high waves and white sand, there are Dream Beach, Mushroom Beach, Tamarind Beach, Sunset Beach and, Semelek Beach. Dream Beach is a ‘virgin’ beach. Dozens of travelers enjoy sunbathing there. They love this beach because it is still relatively quiet onslaught of tourists.
Diving in Nusa Lembongan, why not? There are three main diving site areas such as Ental Point, which is known as the ‘blue corner’, Long Point and Ceningan Channel. Ental Point is a collection of rock at a depth of 24 meters. Fish and coral here are not too much, and the current is too strong. But you can see sunfish here. Long Point is located close to the seaweed cultivation in the northeastern island of Lembongan. This dive site has terraced slopes. In the past, the large table corals in shallow water at the site are full of lobsters. Ceningan Channel is a very nice place for the night dives, because it is safe and fun. Reefs in this area are very attractive and wholesome variety types of fish are beautiful. Those are very good diving sites in Bali, but reserved to experienced divers as the current can be quite strong and downward. The excellent diving sites situated are great for marine life.
In this place, diving can be done throughout the year in all seasons. Many unique water animals can be encountered. Underwater photographers who like wide angle technique will feel welcome to conduct photography, because it is supported with visibility up to tens of meters below the water and comes with an attractive formation of fish. Generally, the site is suitable for all levels of divers, from beginner to professional. For macro photography lovers divers, diving in Nusa Lembongan will be a challenge. It is required foresight eyes to look for unique animals that live in this area.
Nusa Lembongan Island can be reached within 1 hour by speedboat from Padang Bai. This area is also very often traversed by currents. But there are still some diving sites that are perfect for those who want to feel the pleasure of drift diving safely.
