When underwater filmmakers Michele and Howard Hall met in diving class in 1975 – Howard was Michele’s instructor – little did they know their student/teacher bond would ultimately lead to marriage and a business partnership.

Since then, Howard has contributed cinematography to more than a hundred films and, with Michele, has published several books of photographs and produced and directed numerous films for PBS and National Geographic.

They have also created two critically acclaimed IMAX Productions – Into the Deep (3D) and Islands of the Sharks. They also appear in a third one, called Coral Reef Adventure, which Howard also directed while Michele was location manager. The film was released in February 2003 and continues to play in IMAX theaters around the world.
