LANGKAWI, which denotes to a brown eagle, is an archipelago of 99 islands famous for its serenity, superb beaches and engaging ancient legends. Scattered along its coast you will find some of the finest beach resorts to choose from. Other than relaxing you may want to play a round of golf at one of their world class courses, an excursion to see the waterfalls by side track, or a trip up to Mount Mat Cincang by cable car to savour the spectacular view across the Andaman Sea.

Situated along the Pantai Cenang, the Underwater World is one of the largest aquariums in Asia. It has a 15-meter long walk through a tunnel from which you can view more than 5000 kinds of marine life in over 100 tanks. One can also shop some nice souvenirs and gifts at the duty free complex, or enjoy a ride on glass bottomed boats. Traverse the seas for one hour by speed boat and you will reach the renowned largest island in the place, the Pulau Payar Marine Park, which is just 30 km away from the south of Langkawi.
